My Halloween-themed Poser pictures are continuing throughout the month of October. This time an investigative reporter finds far more than she's expecting when a vampire decides to pay her a visit. You can see this picture right here. Hope you like it.
High Tension was released fifteen years ago back in 2003. (Seeing how it's October, I thought I'd add a little Halloween flavor to the 'barefoot scenes in movies' section of this blog.) Two life-long friends decide to spend some time together at one of the girl's parents' country house. It's not long before Marie (Cécile de France) kicks off her shoes.
Unfortunately a serial killer also invites himself to the house, and Marie winds up hiding from him (and saving her life in the process) under the bed.
Be very quiet!
Marie would wind up going barefoot throughout the rest of the movie.
And I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Marie's friend Alexia (Maïwenn) gets abducted right from her bed by the killer and carried off.
If you decide to see this French-made horror film, just beware that it's very gory and there's a really nasty twist at the end. Happy Halloween!
I have this clip from a cop show where a woman finds herself a victim of a serial killer with a very weird idea of dating (maybe they don't have Tinder where he lives, I dunno).
He ties his victims down to the floor of a chamber, and then floods it with water. His latest victim appears to be an undercover cop--well, she's undercover in a manner of speaking, since she's naked throughout this clip.
The woman manages to buy herself some time by biting the guy's hand. While he's away, she works on getting herself free of the plasti-ties that secure her wrists and ankles to the floor.
I didn't clip this, and I believe the show is from Belgium, but every attempt I've made to find out what it is has failed.
Thankfully, the would-be latest victim manages to turn the tables on her abductor.
Although it might be some time before she's comfortable taking a bath again--until then, she's strictly a shower girl. You can download this clip right here.
The Mandalorian is the name of the first Star Wars live action TV series that will be on the new Disney streaming channel. It's being written/produced by Jon Favreau (who directed Iron Man 1 & 2). The picture above is the very first image from the show, presumably of the main character.
Consider me officially stoked for this.

Abduction was a movie released back in 1975 that starred Judith-Marie Bergan as a wealthy heiress who's abducted by a terrorist organization. The movie was very loosely based on the real-life Patty Hearst kidnapping. This was the cover art for the VHS, with its weird bondage of having ropes tied around the soles the feet, which is something you don't see too often. Her feet weren't tied in the film.
Director Joseph Zito would go on to helm Friday The Thirteen: The Final Chapter, Missing in Action, Invasion USA, and Red Scorpion. Sadly, Judith-Marie Bergan passed away in 2016 at the age of 67 from lung cancer. She had a lengthy and busy acting career in which--ironically enough--she played a young stenographer in the 1979 TV movie The Ordeal of Patty Hearst.
At first I wasn't sure about this one. To be blunt, with the numerous Spider-Man films we've gotten over the years--and now with Spidey in the Avengers--I wasn't sure I wanted to see this animated version.
But this trailer won me over. The tone of this animated film looks more like it'll be along the lines of Deadpool, and that's not a bad thing. Also, it has Miles Morales as the main character, for a nice change of pace. And any Spider-man movie that shows Gwen Stacey's Spider-Gwen in action can't be all bad. This looks like it might be fun.
