Cop caught snooping

The clip for today is from a cop show from overseas (in other words, a non-USA produced series) called Fala Zbrodni. I believe the name of the episode is "Snajper" but I don't speak the language, so bear with me. A female cop is caught snooping by a bad guy while he's taking a shower, and we see a little more of him than I'd care to see.

But he's got the female cop hogtied on the floor in her bare feet, so all is forgiven. There's a heavy hint that the bad guy knows the cop--that they might even be lovers. That doesn't stop him from leaving her by herself all bound and gagged, though.

But our heroine is a plucky one who manages to make a call on her cell to her cop comrades. Despite the gag talk, they figure out she's in trouble and come to the rescue. Very nice scene with a barefoot damsel.

As always, I didn't clip this one, but you can find this right here.

Without ~ a short film

Without from Natalia Andreadis on Vimeo.

A really short but riveting film about a woman struggling to free herself from a bed while a vicious doberman is watching her every move. Nice twist ending, too.

RIP, Prince

We lost an icon today. Prince passed away at his home. I first became aware of him when I saw Purple Rain on a date back in the wild and woolly 80s. Before seeing the film, I never heard of him, but after seeing that film, I needed to get the soundtrack, immediately! His songs, Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette, are among my favorites to this day.

The video above shows Prince playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. He does a mad guitar riff starting around 3:30, and it shows that he wasn't just a great singer and songwriter, but that he was a badass on the guitar, as well. RIP, Prince. You will be sorely missed.

Deviant Art has a new pic

I went for something different this time. It's another comic strip, this one showing a two-fisted rescue of a captured damsel. You can see it right here.

Unknown TV series (or movie?)

I downloaded this clip some time ago for obvious reasons. Mainly, the damsel is barefoot (which is always a keeper for me), she's scantily clad, she's tied very well, and the whole thing is presented extremely well.

But I don't know what this is from. I've had a person contact me here recently asking what a clip that I posted was from, and I've spent the better part of a month trying to track it down, to no avail. If you know what this clip is from, let me know in the comments.

As always, I didn't clip this one (if I did, I'd know what it was), but you can find this right here.

A cute cartoon from the New Yorker

From Tom Toro, at the New Yorker magazine. I found this funny and thought I'd share it. Here's his web site.

Fear: a short film

This is a short film about a young woman being taken hostage in her own home. An intruder ties her to a chair while he gets himself a drink. Despite the fact there's no sound, it's very well made. I dug it.

Rogue One's first trailer

The first trailer for Rogue One, the latest Star Wars movie with Felicity Jones, is out. And it looks fantastic! Rogue One appears to be a darker, gritter view of the Star Wars universe, and I can't wait to see it.

SoKo 5113

Soko 5113 is a long running cop show in Germany. This episode (#62) is from the late 1980s, and is called "Alles Vertrauenssache" aka "It's All A Matter of Trust". A cop and his family are interrupted by a crook on their vacation. The cop's wife is left trussed up in a hogtie.

I didn't clip this one, but you can find this right here.

The new Ryta book is going well. I'm 7000 words into it (roughly twenty pages of single spaced lines. I wound up creating a new villain who will make life for our jungle girl a little rougher, and I'm also dealing with the big issues from Big Bug Horror. It's going well. I will keep you posted.
