In the ninth episode of the first season of House of the Dragon, The Green Council, Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) has a meeting with her spymaster.
The payment for his services is that she must remove her shoes and stockings and display her bare feet for him.
To say that this scene caught me off guard is putting it very mildly. It was a pleasant surprise. It's brief, but very nice.
Although I have to admit that, despite my own predilection for women's bare feet, I probably would have asked for a bag of gold coins for services rendered if I were in this situation. But that's me.
