The Crimson Cult, released in 1968, was also known by the name of Curse of the Crimson Altar. It would wind up being the last British film appearance of Boris Karloff.
It also starred Christopher Lee, who's lording it over Virginia Wetherell here. Wetherell, the lucky girl, has been chosen to be the human sacrifice, and the cult even went so far as to make her comfortable by removing her shoes--how sweet of them.
But the cult never carries though with the sacrifice, thanks to Boris stepping in at just the right time.
At the beginning of the film, Vivienne Carlton is a naked sacrificial victim, although her nudity is strategically covered up by her own hair and an exotic green woman who reminds me of the equally green-skinned Orion aliens from Star Trek--especially the Orion Slave Girls.
