I've seen the new Dungeons & Dragons film over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Ignore the crappy D&D film that came out in 2000. This latest movie, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, is far superior. Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez are a pair of thieves who make their escape from prison. Their one and only goal is to locate Pine's daughter, who is now the ward of the lord of the city of Neverwinter. But when Pine and Rodriguez arrive at Neverwinter and seek out the girl, they wind up in the middle of a murderous conspiracy.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a D&D movie that was made by D&D fans, for D&D fans. There are plenty of references and Easter eggs--some of them pretty obscure--to characters and situations in the game throughout the movie. But even if you've never played D&D, you can still enjoy this imaginative, creatively-done romp. There are bondage scenes, but they're slight, and they're with guys and women. And there are no BF scenes at all. But, as a fan of high fantasy, D&D: Honror Among Thieves was so much fun for me. I hope they make a sequel.
