Just wanted to let you know that I've finished the first draft of the latest Ryta the Jungle Girl book: Ryta the Jungle Girl and the Sorcerer. I still have some rewriting/editing to do (as well as creating a cover), but the hard part of creating something out of nothing is done. I expect this latest addition to the Ryta saga to be ready by the July Fourth Weekend.

The Prestige was a fantastic film that was directed by Christopher Nolan (who's no slouch in the film directing department).
The film dealt with the rivalry between two stage magicians back in the 1800s.
Piper Perabo appears in a nice scene as a magician's assistant who gets tied up for an act where she's dunked in a water-filled tank.
What makes this even nicer is that she's barefoot.
The film also stars Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Scarlett Johansson. Imagine that, Black Widow actually shared the screen with Alfred and Batman.
The Prestige is a great film overall. Highly recommended.
Q'orianka Kilcher makes an appearance in Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Kilcher plays the leader of a group of warriors that protect the hidden City.
In her very last moment in the film, as she turns to walk up the steps, we see that she was barefoot the entire time. Nice!
Kilcher also played Pocahontas in The New World. While I've never seen the Dora series, I wound enjoying the movie. It was very cute.
In Intimate Stranger, a sex worker (played by Tatiana) finds herself in the grip of a serial killer. This is the only screen capture that I can show here, because the actress is tied up while naked. So, you know, NSFW and all that (although most of what's on here is probably NSFW, anyway.

The second sequel to The Collector is called The Collected (or, the Coll3cted), and it's coming out soon. The studio released some still pictures in advance, and one of them was this very nice shot. Dom't know if the actress getting tied is barefoot, but we'll find out soon enough. At least we know there's something to look forward to in this flick. I came across this official music video for Powerless, by The Flaming Lips on the tube of U. I've seen this video several years back, and liked it, but I was under the impression that it had been taken down. I'm very happy to see that I was wrong.
Kate Mara stars as the hero's girlfriend in the movie Shooter (2007).
And because she's the hero's girlfriend in an action movie, Kate gets kidnapped by the bad guy. Sorry, Kate.
These scenes from Shooter are not very long; they're basically just a glimpse.
It's a shame, because Kate is barefoot during these scenes, including one where she's shown tied to a chair on a computer screen.
I've enlarged and enhanced this shot for some clarity. Here's hoping Kate winds up with a better boyfriend next time. Either that or she should learn to be an escape artist.

Vanessa Kirby stars as Hattie, the sister of Shaw (Jason Statham) who ditches her shoes while getting caught up in the wild antics of this Fast and the Furious action flick.
She goes barefoot throughout a frenzied chase in the streets of London, where a super powered bad guy is after her because of the virus that she has in her system (long story).
But Hobbs (The Rock) and Shaw finally get her to saftey in a super-fast sports car.
She later has a bondage scene (although she's not BF) where the bad guys have her strapped to a table in a lab. She quickly makes an escape.
Hobbs and Shaw left me cold (not a big fan of the Fast and Furious films, overall), but these scenes--particularly the BF scene--were a welcome sight for me, here.
Released in 1991 (although shot in 1989), There's Nothing Out There was a horror comedy about a group of kids having their vacation at a lake house disturbed by an alien creature.
Bonnie Bowers had the lead female role, and she also went barefoot for the better part of the film's running time.
And as if her going barefoot all the time wasn't enough for me, she also stripped down to a bikini and then ran around like this (as well as still being BF) for the rest of the film.
Wendy Bednarz joined her, going BF while clad in just an oversized shirt.
The movie was good, campy fun, with a goofy-looking alien that chased the women all over the house.
It was director Rolfe Kanefsky's very first movie, with his parents taking out a second mortgage on their house to provide the funding for it.
There's Nothing Out There also predated Scream by having a character who's a major horror fan who keeps warning the others about the horror movie tropes they're walking into. No bondage, but lots of BF scenes, and a lot of fun, as well. Give it a shot. Stay safe!
Nadia Gan stars in this short but sweet clip from the TV series Blue Bloods.
It's from the first season episode called "Chinatown." Miss Gan plays a pregnant woman who's abducted by a gang who plan to steal her baby.
Thankfully, she's rescued in typical cop show fashion, which is my favorite type of scene. And the fact that she's barefoot throughout also has something to do with it. You can see this clip (which I think is from Sam) right here.
Dollhouse only ran for two seasons before being cancelled, but I'm grateful for as much of this show that we got. It was created by Josh Whedon, who also created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly--and who would go on to direct Serenity, along with the first two Avengers movies, as well as the Justice League film (Whedon did the reshoots on JL after Zack Snyder left).
In the second season, there's another BF bondage scene with Echo (series star Eliza Dushku). It's in the episode The Hollow Men.
Stripped of her clothing by her captors, she's strapped to a medical examination table while clad only in white strips that cover her up enough to appease the TV censors.
She endures a procedure where her spinal fluid is about to be drained in a painful manner with a set of needles being plunged into her back.
Fortunately, Echo is rescued before the procedure can permanently harm her. A nice little BF bondage scene
Eliza Dushku, who played Faith in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, later rejoined Buffy creator Joss Whedon for Dollhouse, an SF series that ran for two seasons.
Dushku plays a character named Echo who gets captured by an evil doctor (played by Summer Glau, an actress from Firefly, another Whedon TV project that you should see).
Echo is strapped down barefoot to a table in a lab, where she is tortured via electric shock by Glau's evil character.
Echo was fully dressed when she was captured; meaning that she was stripped of her clothing and made to wear this PJ-like outfit for her captivity.
Her captivity runs for two episodes in the second season: The Public Eye, and The Left Hand.
Thankfully, Echo is rescured from her captivity. If you haven't seen Dollhouse, you should. It's a great science fiction story with plenty of BF scenes.
I remember the actor David Jassen from a TV series back in the 1970s called Harry O. Well, it turns out that Dave's been doing some acting on the side.
He did a film in 1977 called Warhead. Ellyn Stern, who's in these screencaps, also appeared as a captured soldier.
Stern is sitting with her hands tied to a pole behind her back, and her bare feet bound at the ankles.
The bad guys, who are way over the top, leer over Stern during her whole captivity.
I had a clip of this, which was where these screen captures are from, but it got lost in the shuffle over the years.
