If you haven't seen The Orville yet, I'd strongly suggest you give it a shot, because while it's always been a very good show, the last two episodes, a two-parter called Identity, were simply outstanding. Identity: Parts 1&2 were clearly the all-time best episodes of this series (at least so far).
(Spoilers follow in this paragraph) It's interesting how the writers of the Orville have created a powerful new villain in these episodes. But instead of having them pop up out of nowhere, these new baddies had been embedded "among us" all along. This cool twist, along with the major space battle in the second half, really made me sit up and take notice. These episodes basically bring about a quantum change in The Orville universe, and now I'm eager to see how it plays out. (End Spoilers)
When The Orville first started, it was billed as being just an SF comedy, but it's quickly become the true successor to Star Trek on television. Here's hoping it gets a third season.
