As you might have already heard, Patrick Steward passed away this past Wednesday, Oct 28. The Shakespearean-trained actor was 86 years old. He did many roles on the stage and in movies, but Steward was best known as Jean Luc Picard, the Captain of the USS Enterprise-D, on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He also was Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films (and has a role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday). He was one of my favorite actors. He always brought a great gravitas to every role he played. He will be sorely missed.
