Mighty Peking Man

When I was a kid, the year 1977 meant only one thing: Star Wars. But as I got older, I quickly realized that others things happened in 1977.

'77 also saw the release of Mighty Peking Man, which is considered one of the best rip-offs of King Kong.

But I fondly recall this flick not because of its big ape, but the big ape's sidekick, played by Evelynn Kraft.

She wasn't tied up, but Kraft was a jungle girl who went barefoot and scantily clad even after being brought to "civilization."

So it looks like 1977 brought us a lot of good stuff besides Star Wars.
