Forbidden Planet

Anne Francis stars in the classic science fiction movie Forbidden Planet, which was released in 1956.

It also had a young Richard Anderson, who would go on to be well-known as Oscar Goldman on both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman in the 1970s.

Forbidden Planet was also said to be the inspiration for many future science fiction projects, like Star Trek and Star Wars.

And, it's also known as the movie where Anne Francis goes barefoot for the better part of its run time.

I first saw this when I was a little kid, and while I can't rightly say that it influenced me in my particular leanings, it still remains one of my all-time favorite films.
