Dr. Giggles

Larry Drake plays Dr. Giggles, an insane man who thinks he's a doctor and who tries to "cure" his unwilling patients.

Michelle Johnson is his first victim, who is tied to a chair by the good "doctor." He uses a device on her that ultimately ends in her demise.

Holly Marie Combs, who plays a young woman with a heart condition, is his next patient.

In her bondage scenes with the good "doctor" she's barefoot and clad in a hospital gown.

The moment when Dr. Giggles is looking over a bunch of severed hearts in a pail, trying to figure out which one to use, is funny and shocking.

She's gagged just before the operation is to begin--but everything's fine, for she's saved at the last minute. Holly Marie Combs did this movie a few years before becoming far more famous as the middle sister on Charmed (the original series, not the blech remake).

Anxious Ad

This is an ad that I discovered over ten years back. A young woman wakes up and discovers that she's tied to a stool in a run-down place, with her kidnapper taking a nap just a few feet away from her.

She manages to work her bare feet free of the ropes, then gets to work in trying to move the stool she's tied to over to a rusted nail.

What follows is a really, truly nerve-wracking moment where she tries to work her tied wrists free--all while watching an empty bottle rattle precariously on the very edge of the table. Should this bottle fall, it will awaken her kidnapper.

This is a well-done, suspenseful clip that ends way too soon. The fact that she's barefoot throughout just makes it for me. You can find this clip right here.

Dead Ringers

Dead Ringers was a superb movie by director David Cronenberg about the strange relationship between twin doctors who are both played by Jeremy Irons in a great performance.

Genevieve Bujold plays his girlfriend...but whose girlfriend is she? Which one of the twins? That's basically the whole storyline of the movie. Because, eventually, even the twin themselves don't know who's who.

At one point in the film, Bujold makes love with one of the twins, and she's tied with medical wraps to the end of the bed, and her ankles bound to Irons' ankles. This is a very nice consensual bondage scene.

Would you believe that Bujold was almost the captain of the USS Voyager? She had the part for a few days before leaving, citing "creative differences." You can find footage of her as Janeway on YouTube.

Amazon remade this film as a TV show, with Rachel Weisz playing the twins. To the best of my knowledge, Cronenberg wasn't involved with the TV show.

Which might explain why the TV show wasn't very good. Avoid the TV series and track down the film.

Fool's Gold

Fool's Gold was a piece of fluff romantic comedy/adventure film starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey that came out in 2008.

It involves hunting for pirate treasure in the Caribbean aboard a yacht, which offers plenty of scenes for Hudson to go barefoot. Female members of the crew also go barefoot, as well.

And there are some nice moments with her in a bikini, too.

Kate also goes barefoot during the finale, when she's taken captive by the baddies aboard a small plane.

It would have been nice if she got tied up here--but she doesn't. Still, Fool's Gold is a good BF movie.

Bordertown

Lenita Susi stars as a kidnapped woman in Sorjonen (Bordertown), a crime thriller from Finland.

She's left tied up in the back of an RV. And she tries very hard to make an escape.

Which she eventually does, running barefoot through the woods.

Only to be re-captured and tied up again.

Thankfully, her character survives her ordeal. The clip is by Jakob 88, which you can see here.

Missed One

I recently did a flurry of updates about Elementary, the modern day Sherlock Holmes series with Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu as Holmes and Watson, respectively.

I missed one from the first season. The episode The Leviathan has Watson getting ready for an early morning run when she meets a scantily clad woman.

Turns out she's Gwen, who spent the night with Holmes.

And she's also barefoot, as this delightful shot, showing her walking away, shows.

Watson goes into the hall, only to run into Olivia. She's Gwen's twin sister. She also spent the night with Holmes.

And, as she walks up the stairs, we see that she's barefoot, as well. Both women were played by the same actress, Tonya Glanz. They weren't on screen at the same time.

A very nice BF moment. The episode title, The Leviathan, is also the name of the super submarine that my character, Ryta the Jungle Girl, lives on in the books that I write about her and her friends. Look for more adventures in Ryta's world coming very soon.

Snake Time

File this under the 'I can't believe my luck' folder.

I had recorded some stuff off of basic cable, and this show, with this wonderful clip, was on the R-DVD.

It's from the old Crocodile Hunter TV show. It's host, Steve Irwin, was always trying to introduce the average person to exotic animals.

In this case, a group of barefoot people--men and women--are "greeting" various snakes in what looks like a store in a shopping mall.

In addition to being barefoot, they're all also tied up. And they're all blindfolded, as well. No explanation was ever given as to why they were like this.

Maybe they're tied up so they wouldn't accidentally harm the snakes? Who knows? But who cares? Because the scene that's a result of it is really nice.

Stargate Universe

Stargate Universe was an SF series that originally aired on the Sci-Fi Channel back in 2009. It was part of the overall Stargate TV franchise that was begun with Stargate SG-1 (which itself was a TV adaptation of the original Stargate movie). Unfortunately, SG:U was cancelled after only two seasons.

In the first season episode, "Space", Elyse Levesque played Chloe Armstrong, who winds up getting abducted by unknown aliens and held in an interesting form of captivity.

Stripping Chloe of her clothing, she's barefoot, clad in a wetsuit-like garment and left suspended in a tank of water. She's got a scuba-type mask on which helps her to breathe.

Chloe is rescued from the tank, and winds up going barefoot during her escape attempt. You don't stop to find your shoes at a time like this.

It's a nice--if brief--BF scene that's also technically (kind of, sorta) a bondage scene. This is why I love science fiction, because it always offers a creative take on everything, including bondage scenes.

Edge Of Night

There was a TV soap opera known as Edge Of Night. And, like most TV soaps, it had its fair share of scenes.

Frances Fisher plays Deborah Saxon, a detective who's been kidnapped. These episodes aired on EON back in 1979.

She's taken to the woods, where she's made to lay down.

She's already barefoot, having lost her shoes, before this clip.
