I saw the new Dune, and it is the best Dune out of all of the adaptations. While only adapting the first half of Frank Herbert's masterpiece, director Denis Villeneuv chose the best place to cut the story--and, in doing so, manages to fill out the narrative wonderfully, adding details from the book that weren't even in the earlier Movie/TV versions of Dune.
But, as you can see by the pictures (which I've brightened) I have here, they didn't cut the kidnapping scene with Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) and Paul (Timothée Chalamet). They are captured by troops from House Harkonnen right from their beds and are being sent into the deep desert to die.
Jessica, because she uses a psychic weapon known as the Voice, is gagged. She's bound wrists behind and bare feet together, as well as also being strapped into her chair aboard the Harkonnen ship.
The one annoying thing is that we've got a couple of shots of bound bare feet--but they belong to Paul (arrgh!).
But there are some shots of Jessica's bound hands, as she "talks" to Paul through signing.
Ferguson is still bound barefoot in this scene, and she continues going barefoot for a brief time afterward. You can see this in the clip (not clipped by me) right here.
