At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (Meia-Noite Levarei Sua Alma) is reportedly the first horror film made in Brazil. Valeria Vasquez stars as a doomed young lady who's caught by the film's villain.
After being chloroformed, she wakes up bound and gagged on her bed with the villain taunting her with a tarantula in a glass jar.
The baddie releases the overgrown spider, having it crawl up her body while she helplessly watches.
No spiders were harmed during this shoot (I'm actually more worried for the actress, here).
José Mojica Marins, who plays the bad guy, also co-wrote and directed the film.
He would make two more movies with this evil character, creating what's now known as the Coffin Joe Trilogy.
