The Haunting of Hill House, the mini-series that was produced by Netflix, was an fascinating, revisionist take on the Shirley Jackson novel.
And it also had its fair share of BF scenes, as well.
It made sense, since most of the hauntings took place late at night in Hill House, at a time when people were more likely to be forced to get out of bed too deal with whatever ghostly occurence has just happened.
You have to go running around, checking out things, when a strange noise wakes you--and once in this panicky state, shoes are usually forgotten.
And even one of the ghosts goes barefoot whenever she walks the halls of Hill House.
