Tanya Roberts

We lost Tanya Roberts. There was a cruel turn, when it looked like the reports of her death might have been a mistake--and while the first reports were wrong the first time, she did eventually pass away at the age of 65.

Tanya had a pretty high profile career, especially in the 1980s, when she played one of the Charlie's Angels, then she was a Bond girl in A View to a Kill, and later she played a mom in That 70s Show (and she was probably better known for doing this series).

But I'll always fondly remember her as the proper Sheena. My take that Tanya was the 'proper' version of this classic character was because she was the only actress who truly embodied Sheena for me--and part of this was the fact that she went barefoot all through the movie. Granted, the movie wasn't perfect, but Tanya was the best thing in it for me. Rest in peace, my jungle queen, you left us way too soon.
