THIS IS SPARTA! Where they speak very loudly, apparently. 300 was adapted from the graphic novel by Frank Miller about the last stand of 300 Spartan warriors against Persian forces in a narrow bottleneck location.

There's a subplot back in Sparta with Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo, who goes barefoot pretty much throughout all of her scenes, both indoors and outdoors (along with several other actresses in the background).

Finding decent shots of her barefoot is another thing. These three screen captures were pretty much the best I could get.

Headey is probably best known for her later role in Games Of Thrones. She was also the villain in the fantastic Dredd (2012). And she played the title role in the TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
