The Phantom has been a venerable superhero for several decades. Created by Lee Falk, the Phantom made his first appearance in 1936, and had a pretty fun movie based on him that was released in 1996.
The Phantom's exploits are still being published even today. These are from the current strip, which shows the Phantom rescuing a barefoot woman who's been left bound in a tent.
