Elisabeth Moss (Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale) stars in this retelling of The Invisible Man. Remember when Johnny Deep was cast as the Invisible Man a few years ago in that cinematic Dark Universe that they were prepping? Yeah, well, that was cancelled when the Tom Cruise Mummy movie, which was the first entry in the series, turned out to be a big bomb.
I'm glad they dumped the "Dark Universe" in favor of this version, with a more streamlined story that actually looks good (not to mention it has some BF scenes, as well, judging from the trailer).
Elisabeth's character is also cuffed at one point in the film (although I don't know if she's BF at the time).
It's coming out in February 2020. This Invisible Man is directed by the same writer of the Saw movies and the Insidious horror films, so I'm looking forward to seeing his take on this. Will it make us forget Claude Rains and Kevin Bacon? Time will tell.
