A few years before he was Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds starred in this remake of the 1979 horror flick (which was based on a "true" story). Rachel Nichols also starred as a hippy chick who babysat the kids while Ryan took Melissa George out for dinner.
Nichols goes barefoot the whole time she's with the kids, regaling them with stories about that murdered family who lived in this house before them.
It's a performance, and overall look, that brings back fond memories of some of the women who were my babysitters when I was a kid.
The evil haunted house locks Rachel's babysitter in a closet, but she's later released. This was a pleasant little BF scene in this flick.
