In the movie El Secuestro (1974), Claudia Islas is kidnapped by a wealthy blind man.
At first, she's kept bound and gagged in her nightgown (and bare feet) on a circular sofa (or is it a bed?).
Her kidnapper unties her. He removes her gag and the ropes from her wrists.
But he leaves her to untie her feet.
Later in the film, she's tied up again, but this time fully dressed and wearing boots. The clip has both scenes, and you can see it right here.
A woman is murdered by the killer right in front of Laura's horrified eyes--and being bound and gagged, there's nothing she can do about it but watch.
But the killer left the knife sticking out of the body of his victim, and this gives Laura an idea.
Making a good scene even better, Laura crawls across the floor towards the dead body, intent on getting the knife.
This is a nice, long take, with one cut at the end, showing Laura writhing towards the knife.
And the fact that she's barefoot and scantily clad makes it all the nicer.
Laura does grab the knife, and uses it to free herself. She survives her ordeal, making this a really nice scene.
Cristina Galbó stars in The Killer Must Kill Again (L'Assassino è costretto ad uccidere ancora), a particularly good horror thriller from Italy that was released in 1975. Galbó plays Laura, a young woman who crosses paths with a psycho killer.
Having just been raped by the central villain, Laura is then bound and gagged by him and trussed up in a storage area of his beach-side house.
Barefoot, and clad in just panties with a shirt, Laura is very well tied, making her a reluctant, and horrified, witness to the proceedings. As the film title states, the killer isn't done killing people.
Her bondage scene runs for a good long while, straight through to the end of the movie.
And even though the 'over the mouth' gag really doesn't work, it still looks very effective here.
Galbó still manages to give an affecting performance despite being gagged and bound.
And although you don't see her feet in any of the shots here, she is barefoot, as you shall see in the next part.
Singer Amanda Jenssen performs Digging For Gold In The USA. She's barefoot while singing this tune--which is really the only reason I make mention of it, anyway.
The song isn't bad, but, as regular readers of the blog well know, I'm into this more because she's barefoot. One more thing: is it me, or does the way she's dressed make Amanda look like she's starring in a sequel to Midsommar? Maybe it's me.
Jessica Alba stars in Paranoid, where she plays a woman who's handcuffed to the head of a bed in the basement of an inn.
I guess she wouldn't be considered paranoid if she really found herself in this situation?
I mean, there's nothing like the cold hard metallic feel of handcuffs on your wrists to let you know that--nope, this is not you being paranoid, they are really after you!
But while Alba's wrists are cuffed to the head of the bed, her feet are left free, and she uses them in a wonderful scene to reach for her cell phone.
She manages to grab the phone and pull it out of her purse.
She even gets the phone working and tries calling for help.
Alas, Alba's character is caught. While her feet aren't feet and nor is she gagged at all, Alba still spends the better part of the film's running time cuffed to the bed. Her character survives her ordeal.
Found another clip in the files. This one is from an Asian TV production.
A pretty young barefoot woman is being held hostage in a hotel room. She securely handcuffed, with her ankles bound together with rope, and is tape gagged for good measure.
The bad guy even comes in to check on her...as well as to gloat, as bad guys will often do.
It's pretty short, but sweet. The black tape gag is really the icing on the cake for me. You can see this clip right here.
