Space Hippies

The Way To Eden (aka the Space Hippies episode) wasn't one of the better third season episodes of Star Trek, but it was enjoyable in another way.

The Enterprise rescues a group of space hippies from an exploding shuttle (which they stole). One of them is the son of a prominent ambassador, which prevents Kirk from throwing all of them into the brig.

Seeing that they're hippies, this means that all of the women are barefoot, including Irina Galliulin (Mary Linda Rapelye), a former flame of Chekov's from his Academy days.

Deborah Downey and Phyllis Douglas play the other two space hippie girls, whose names are not mentioned in the show (although Phyllis Douglas has been ID-ed as having the name Mavig on some sites).

For us, it's a great BF episode, but as an episode of Star Trek, it's pretty bad. It offers a real cringey look at the then-present day hippie culture (it originally aired in 1969, right at the height of the counter-culture movement).

And add to all of this the incessant singing--ugh! At least Charles Napier, who did all the singing here, went onto better things. He was the lead villain in the first Lethal Weapon film.

Morangos

This is a clip from a Portuguese TV series called Morangos. And despite it being short, it's one of my favorites.

Don't know who this barefoot beauty is, but she's tightly tied to a chair, looking like she's had her beach vacation rudely canceled.

Sometimes the shorter the clip is, the better, because it gets right to the point, like how the camera pans up from her bound bare feet here. You can see it right here.

Weird Jail

Spring break was a little too wild for Anita, who got drunk and then got into a fight with a cop over the fact that she was walking around in public with no top. Her punishment was certainly interesting, as you can see right here.

Note: The picture above is from Hostel 2.

A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)

The original A Nightmare On Elm Street was released back in 1984 and was directed by legendary horror film master Wes Craven. It dealt with a supernatural killer who kills his victims in their dreams.

They remade A Nightmare on Elm Street back in 2010. It was not a good idea, because the remake wasn't very good.

However, the remake, in recreating scenes of beautiful women being stalked by Freddy Kruger in their nightmares, had its fair share of BF scenes.

The result is plenty of great BF moments.

And one of these barefoot women was Rooney Mara, who would go on to play The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo the following year--this was a much better remake than Nightmare.

But at least in the Nightmare remake Rooney goes barefoot both in and out of her dreams.

The Nightmare remake offers some very nice and up close BF shots.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing another Nightmare remake within the next few years. They're remaking everything else. Hope the next Nightmare is better than the first remake was.

Mama Mia

We've just had Thanksgiving here in the US. The weather's getting colder and all around scarier. I keep warm by thinking about warm scenes.

The movie Mama Mia, which has actors singing ABBA songs for some weird reason, has this nice, summery warm scene.

Amanda Seyfried stars as a young woman who's trying to find out who her father really is. She swims out to a sailboat where all of the "prime suspects" are aboard and she spends the day with them.

She's barefoot throughout this whole sequence, including when they go ashore on a small island to have a picnic. She's also clad in a one-piece swim suit, as well

A nice BF scene from a silly but fun movie.
