I realized just the other day that Panic Room turns 20 years old this year. It was released on March 29, 2002.
Directed by David Fincher from a script written by David Keopp, Panic Room stars Jodie Foster and Kristen Steward as a mother and daughter who newly moved into their townhouse.
Once they notice there are intruders in their house, Jodie and Kristen take refuge in the panic room, an armored safe place where the intruders can not gain access.
But the phone in the Panic Room isn't connected, so Jodie and Kristen have no way to call out for help.
And thus begins a tightly woven game of cat and mouse. With Jodie and Kristen both barefoot throughout the whole film.
It's an impressive film overall, with the production building a three story set of the townhouse in a studio. Panic Room is very well done, and still holds up today.
