Right around when she was starring in the Twilight film series, Rachelle Lefevre did this marvelous horror movie called The Caller.
She stars as a young woman undergoing a troubled divorce who moves into an apartment in an attempt to start a new life. But then she gets these weird phone calls from another woman who sounds like a psycho.
The main hook of the film is that the other woman is actually calling from thirty years ago, adding a weird SF element to the proceedings.
The Caller takes place in Puerto Rico (and it was shot there, as well), leading to Lefevre going barefoot in various scenes throughout. This was a fun (and creepy) flick with some nice BF moments. Interesting trivia: Brittany Murphy was originally cast in the lead role, but was replaced by Lefevre--who was herself was replaced about halfway through the Twilight films as Victoria by Bryce Dallas Howard.
