Thomasin McKenzie stars in Last Night In Soho as an up and coming fashion designer.
She's attending school in London, and rents an apartment from an eldery woman (the late, great Diana Rigg in one of her last roles).
When she goes to sleep at night, she gets transported to 1960s London, always wearing whatever she wears to bed.
She lives vicariously through the exploits of Anya Taylor-Joy's character, who lived back in this time.
And, for the first two or three times that Thomasin goes back in the past, she's also barefoot. Eventually, she starts falling asleep fully dressed, but at first, Thomasin is only clad in her sleepwear and sans shoes. I suppose this would be for BF completists, but it's a nice touch. The film itself is superb and is recommended overall.
