Back in 1999, there was a Canadian film called Better Than Chocolate, and it had a bondage scene...kind of.
Karyn Dwyer starred as Maggie, a young woman who works in a bookstore that's having trouble getting certain books because they're banned by the Canadian government.
And so, as a form of protest, Maggie strips nude and stands in front of a stake, complete with fake flames fluttering around her, in the bookstore's display window. She's naked, save for a pair of signs that still cover her sensitive areas.
Although she has her hands behind her back, her wrists are clearly not tied--and you wouldn't really expect her to actually be bound, since this is basically a performance that's staged in protest.
However, Maggie winds up becoming a real damsel in distress when a group of hooligans notice her half naked body in the store window. Their lust suddenly becomes a major threat for her.
But Maggie gets rescued in the nick of time before anything really bad can happen. Better Than Chocolate is a comedy/drama, more than anything else. But I still like this scene very much.
