Altered

Catherine Mangan stars in Altered, a science fiction/horror film about a group of people (she's one of them) who're terrorized by an alien in the southern backwoods.

At one point in the film, Catherine's character is tied to the bed (she's barefoot) by the guys "for her own good".

And as this sort of thing always works out, instead of keeping her out of trouble, being bound to the bed only puts Catherine into deeper trouble.

Especially when she comes face to face with the space critter; the ropes just prevent her from getting away from it.

Eventually she's freed from the bed, for her own good, of course. Altered, overall, is a very good movie that makes the notion of alien abduction very scary again.
