Brian Aldiss

Many years ago I read a fantastic science fiction/horror novel called Dracula Unbound that was written by Brian Aldiss. It was a great book that dealt with the unlikely merging of vampires and time travel, and Aldiss really made it work. I enjoyed the book immensely. His short story, Supertoys Last All Summer Long inspired the 2001 film A.I., which was directed by Steven Spielberg.

I just found out today that Brian Aldiss (who wrote 80 books in all) has passed away at the age of 92. RIP, sir, and thanks for sharing your flights of fancy with us.
