Phantasm II

The Phantasm series is a great deal of fun, with Phantasm II being my favorite. Paula Irvine stars in Phantasm II as the female lead, who is first seen in this eerie moment when the guys come across her in a basement.

Although her bonds are never seen, thanks to the black cloak that she wears, it's heavily implied that she's tied down.

The nice, big criss-crossed gag that she has covering her mouth is also another good indication of her bondage. This version of her doesn't survive. This scene serves as an omen of the battle yet to come.

Later, when her character formally joins the boys in their adventure, Irvine gets captured by the Tall Man ("BOY!"). She receives an intense hand gag here.

After her capture, Irvine is wheeled through the villain's lair while strapped down to a gurney, and sporting another very nice gag.

Although she's been stripped of her coat, she's still fully dressed here.

But it's still one of the better bondage scenes for me, and one of my favorites, despite her not being barefoot. It's very stylishly done, with the danger coming from the Tall Man's minion in the background preparing to burn her alive in the crematorium (eek!).

She takes a quick moment--when he's not looking--to check out her situation, which she ultimately survives. I've got her first scene as a clip, which you can see right here.

House of Darkness: New Blood

Kate Stone stars in House of Darkness: New Blood, as Brooke, who gets kidnapped by a cult. Don't you hate it when that happens?

Brooke is barefoot when this goes down, while clad in capri-style pants.

She's still barefoot when she wakes up and finds herself tied up hand and foot.

Some nice attention to detail with these foot shots.

Brooke soon realizes that she's bound and helpless in the most terrifying moment of them all: the bad guy exposition scene! Gasp!

A Holiday Fave

This one has become an all-time favorite of mine.

It's a short horror film called Kidnapped, by Artur Nilov.

Actress Linda Skoromko is superb in this nearly silent film. She wakes up to find herself bound and gagged in what looks like a run-down lab.

Barefoot, she's clad in a nightie under a plaid, long sleeve shirt.

With the film's brief (about five minutes) running time, Linda goes right into action in struggling to get herself free. And it's a sight to behold.

I wish it were longer, and the ending is very chilling--but, considering that it's the Halloween season, perhaps the scares are for the best. You can see this film right here.

Phantasm II

Phantasm II is my favorite film in this horror film series. Is it because of this scene? Probably. Paula Irvine stars here as the female lead who's first seen in this eerie scene dressed in a black cloak with a hood over her head.

When the hood is pulled back, Irvine is seen with an interesting gag covering her mouth. It looks like a medical gag. She's kneeling down in a manner that suggests her wrists are tied to something in front of her. But the black cloak doesn't reveal much of her body.

This scene becomes very gory when a monster emerges from her back, Alien-like. Since she's bare-backed under the cloak, I'm assuming that she's naked (and thus barefoot).

There's more bondage with Irvine strapped to a gurney, but she's fully dressed. Phantasm II is the only film in the series to have any bondage, and it's also a great flick overall to watch for Halloween. You can see a clip of the first bondage scene right here.

HOD: New Blood

In House of Darkness: New Blood, Kate Stone stars as Brooke, who gets kidnapped by a cult when a guy comes up from behind her and does this.

She's barefoot at the time, which is nice (not for her, though).

She wakes up to find herself all tied up with rope. She's not gagged.

But isn't it nice how they spend some time here on her bound bare feet? Noice!

This scene is strictly so the evil cultists can explain their evil plans to the helplessly bound Brooke, who is shocked (shocked, I say!) by just how evil they are.

Tombs of the Blind Dead

In the first Blind Dead movie, Tombs of the Blind Dead, released in 1971, a young barefoot woman is brought to the castle of the Knights Templar.

She's brought inside to a large banquet hall, but she's not to join the party. Instead she's the main event.

Two of the Templars (in their pre-dead state) bind her to an X-shaped rack.

It's only when she is secured to the rack that her clothes are removed, revealing underwear that covers as much as her outer clothes did.

Unfortunately, she does not survive her sacrificial ritual, where the knights ride around her, slicing at her with their swords--it's stuff like this that's probably why they became the undead in the first place. "Do you want to become the undead? Because that's how you become the undead!"

According to the IMDB, the maiden is played by Carmen Yazalde, who previously went unaccredited. Nice job, Carmen!

Ready or Not

Samara Weaving stars as Grace, in Ready or Not, a very good horror film about a young bride who marries into a wealthy family.

The family she's marrying into built their wealth on making board games, and they want Grace to play a little game with them as part of a wedding day tradition.

But this game turns out to be a lethal form of hide and seek, where once Grace is caught, she's killed.

And so Grace, getting wind of what the family intends to do with her, arms herself and starts fighting back.

Eventually, she's captured and tied down to a table so that she may be sacrificed.

Unfortunately, Grace doesn't go barefoot (except for a very brief scene, before she's given shoes), but she's still very tightly tied and muzzled in this scene. The movie overall is also recommended for being a great (and funny) edge-of-your-seat thriller.
