Feardotcom was one of those films that tried to warn us about the evils of the internet that came out in 2002.
Stephen Rea, who did much better films than this one, stars as a baddie who runs a torture chamber that can be viewed online.
Astrid Skuyat stars as the poor woman who is strapped in for the rough ride.
Thankfully, nothing happens, because the film's star Natascha McElhone shows up to do a last minute rescue.
Of course, there's a big, knock-down, dragged-out fight, with Rea using Skuyat as a shield at one point.
But Rea ultimately gets the stuffing kicked out of him. And Skuyat is saved.
My favorite moment is when Skuyat, lying freed of her bonds on the floor, finally removed the gag from her mouth.
And--surprise!--it turns out she was wearing a real muzzle over her mouth. No expense spared on this flick, apparently.
