On September 13, 1999 the moon was blasted out of its orbit, sending the good citizens of Moonbase Alpha on some wild and wacky adventures (like meeting up with Hammer Films legend Christopher Lee, who was clad in full '70s disco garb--which was pretty frigging scary in and of itself).
Nineteen years ago today the moon went away, changing our skies forever (not to mention screwing up surfing as we knew it). Please take a moment today to remember a corny but beloved (hey, cut me some slack, I liked it as a kid!) SF show from the 1970s.
