Fear Street

I watched the Fear Street movies on Netflix over the weekend, and--WOW!--they are a lot of fun. They're also filled with bondage. The above picture is from the beginning of the second film, Fear Street: Part Two: 1978. It's Stranger Thing's Sadie Sink, who plays the spunky Ziggy, having been caught by the rich girls at summer camp. She's tied while wearing shoes.

And starting in the first Fear Street movie, and running throughout the series, is what happens to poor Sam (Olivia Scott Welch), who--once she becomes possessed--gets bound hand and foot. This lasts until the third film. Except for the first scene, where she's clad in socks, Sam is also shoe-clad during the bulk of her captivity. The Fear Street trilogy is an extremely enjoyable treat for horror fans, as well as having some treats for bondage fans, too. Highly recommended.

Really Determined

I have this really fun clip of a woman who gets abducted from her home (and is carried out right past her sleeping guards) and is tied up by the bad guys.

She keeps escaping, then gets recaptured, then escapes again.

But she's barefoot through the entire clip.

At least she never gives up.

And no matter what she wears, or how she's tied, she's BF throughout. Nice clip. You can see it right here.

Misunderstanding

The Prestige

Re-watched The Prestige recently, and very nearly forgot about this scene.

Piper Perabo co-stars in this mystery/thriller that was directed by Christopher Nolan in-between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Christian Bale, who played Batman in Nolan's trilogy, also stars in this film about feuding magicians in the 19th century.

Piper plays a magician's assistant who gets bound while barefoot for her act, where she escapes from a water tank.

She requests "volunteers" from the audience to tie her up. But they always wind up being Bale and Hugh Jackman, who start out playing magician's assistants who pose as audience members.

We see Piper perform this act twice in the film--the first time, everything's goes great. But the second time...well, let's say this is oneof the things that created the feud between Bale and Jackman's characters. The Prestige still holds up as a great movie fifteen years after its release.

Planet Terror

Planet Terror was one half of a double feature (with Deathproof) that was released some fifteen years ago. Planet Terror was clearly the better movie of the two.

While Deathproof was extremely slow-paced (before finally taking off in its second half), Planet Terror was pure, weird fun from the get-go.

Deathproof had plenty of BF scenes (which makes it worth watching, IMHO), but Planet Terror only has this BF scene--and it's still the better flick.

Real life twins Electra Avellan and Elise Avellan star as babysitters who are doing each other's toenails.

It's a brief scene, but very nice--right up until they get interuppted by one of the rug rats they're watching.

Black Widow

I saw Black Widow--finally!--over the weekend, and I enjoyed it very much. I watched this directly on Disney+ through their Premier Acess program, and I discovered that I now own a digital copy of BW (at least for as long as I'm subscribed to D+). Taking place right after the events of Captain America: Civil War, Black Widow finds herself on the run from just about everybody.

At least she has help in her family. "What family?" you might ask. The BW film establishes that Nat was part of an undercover spy operation where she posed as part of an American family when she was a child. Her younger "sister," Yelena, is engagingly played by Florence Pugh. Yelena basically comes off as sort of a mini-version of her big sister Nat, and it works very well. Pugh makes Yelena greatly sympathetic. And she handles herself very well in the action scenes.

Other standouts in the cast are Rachel Weisz (the 1999 Mummy) and David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Nat's "parents," who still bicker like an old couple. The Taskmaster makes for a formidable foe, and the action scenes overall are stellar. Scarlett Johansson is superb, as always, and will be missed all the more (the events of Endgame are being strictly adhered to). We should have received this movie a whole lot sooner, but better late than never.

Over My Threshold

On the fourth episode of Threshold, titled The Burning, Christie Lynn Smith decides to do some wash.

And what does she get for her trouble, bound and gagged while barefoot and clad only in black panties and a blue camisole top! The horror!

And her dog really wasn't much help here, was he? Bad Rover! No watching Lassie later for you!

This is one of my all-time favorite scenes, for obvious reasons. The nut-bag who ties her up promptly starts digging...right in the middle of her living room. Threshold was a werid show that didn't last long. You can see this clip right here.
