Splice is a very good science fiction movie that was released a few years ago.
Delphine Chanéac stars as Dren, a living science project that was the result of a pair of scientists doing some experimentation.
If her feet look strange, it's because Dren isn't quite human.
She's tied down to the table like this because her "mother," one of the scientists who created her, is about to perform an operation.
The operation will be committed much against Dren's will. Splice is a great movie, overall. If you're into science fiction Frankenstein-type stories--with a funky barefoot bondage scene--then seek this one out.
