Production has finally begun on the new Star Trek series, and I must admit I'm really excited about this. The behind the scenes video even gives a brief glimpse of what the new ship might look like. We could really use another incarnation of Star Trek to keep us grounded by reminding us that there is indeed a future worth fighting for. And that if we can all pull together, we can solve any problem. So let the new voyage begin, and live long and prosper.
Actor John Hurt passed away today. He played so many great parts--Kane in Alien, The Elephant Man, Hellboy, V For Vendetta, Contact, 1984, Doctor Who--that it's hard for me to just pick one as my favorite. He was a great talent who shall be missed.
I recently saw the science fiction movie Passengers starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt. And while I enjoyed it very much, it also gave me an idea for a Poser picture.
We've heard of the idea of people traveling to other planets in stasis pods, but what if somebody is a convict who needs to be transported this way?

Lyllah Torena stars in Fly Me as a stewardess who runs afoul of slavers. She gets tied up aboard a boat clad in nothing but her panties. While her captor is sleeping, Lyllah does a wonderful writhing scene where she reaches for a glass with her bound hands and eventually frees herself.
I'd show you more pictures, but Miss Torena is bare-chested throughout the scene, which is NSFW. The first three minutes are my favorite moments from this clip, as the rest of it shows an older actress (fully dressed) getting tied up and a bound and gagged and Torena getting assaulted. This is early seventies exploitation, so brace yourself for some roughness.

Well, there's only one Celtic Woman here, and it's Máiréad Nesbitt, the violinist, who dances wildly around the stage while still playing her violin like a boss.
Once I discovered that my Poser 4 female figure had a catsuit in her wardrobe, I went to work creating an Avengers-themed (the British TV show) Poser picture. You can see it right here.
The heroine of a Thailand soap opera decides to go snooping at the villain's house, only to get herself caught by the villain. She's trussed up hand and foot and thrown into a storage area.
She was wearing a hood with a slit for her eyes, sort of like a ninja, but this gets removed. However, she was already barefoot when she was snooping around. Maybe she went sans shoes in order to be quieter?
Fortunately for the heroine, the bad guys didn't search her too thoroughly. She still has a trusty knife on hand that she uses to free herself. It's a great scene, both for bondage and barefoot fans alike. You can see it right here.

It's been very cold lately, with most of the land in the chilly grip of winter. That's when I usually start thinking about warm beaches, palm trees, and Charlie's Angels getting tied up when they go undercover as lifeguards.
The episode is Waikiki Angels, from the fifth season, with Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd as the barefoot lifeguards who are taken captive by Grizzly Adams (back when he was bad).
The rope work is so-so, they escape pretty easily, but they go barefoot throughout the scene, and the both of them look fetching in their lifeguard outfits. I wonder if this inspired them to create Baywatch?

It's a new year, and I've started writing book number 10 in the Ryta the Jungle Girl saga. I have the basic plot sorted out, but sometimes that changes while I'm writing it. The important thing is, the holidays and all distractions are over, and I'm back writing again. I'm looking to have this ready by late March. I will keep you posted.
