Maggie Ashburn is the Black Mantis. Armed with her super strength, she fights crime and injustice in St. Brunson, the half sunken city on the edge of the ocean. But one such enemy has proven to be an imposing threat. The Acolyte Group is a corporation that Maggie suspects is a cover for a criminal organization that owns the police force, and much more, in St. Brunson.
With each passing day, the Acolyte Group only grows stronger and more powerful, becoming such a threat that Black Mantis, along with her friends Sadie and Lou, face a long, dark struggle to stop them.
