The Sanderson Sisters are back to ruin another Halloween in Salem in Hocus Pocus 2, which dropped this weekend on the Disney Plus streaming service. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy are all back as the trio of sister witches, who have been recalled to our world by two wannabe witches who are tricked into summoning them. Even Doug Jones is back as Billy, the zombie boyfriend.
HP2 is a fun, enjoyable frightfest that's about as scary as the original was (which was about as scary as a Disney flick got); if you're a fan of the first movie, then you should like this one. There's a bondage scene at the end when Lilia Buckingham, as Cassie, gets tied hands (in front) and foot by the witches, who plan to sacrifice her. She's tied up instantly via a magical spell. Cassie's fully dressed, not barefoot, and has no gag. Happy October!
