Captain Planet was an animated series that aired back in the 1990s. It was about young people being led by a superhero to fight for the environment of our planet.
It also had one of its characters, Gi (voiced by Janice Kawaye) tied to a chair and gagged. She was even barefoot, having been captured while scuba diving and tied up aboard a submarine.
