My favorite Quentin Tarantino movie is Jackie Brown, and my favorite scenes within this film involve Bridget Fonda.
Fonda stars here as Melanie Ralston, a beach bunny.
Fonda goes barefoot for the better part of the film's running time, which may have something to do with why she's my favorite character here. But Jackie Brown is a superb movie overall, with a great cast, a tight script, and much suspense.
I enjoyed the first Ant Man movie very much, and I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel, if for no other reason than to see Evangeline Lilly in action as the Wasp. This trailer shows a little bit of her as the Wasp, and it looks very cool. As much as I love the team ups in the Avengers films, it's nice to see these heroes strut their stuff in their own adventures.

This was directed by Ken Russell and was an extremely fun horror movie. Check it out if you can.
Olivia Brown stars in this episode of Miami Vice, named "Asian Cut", where she is captured by the bad guys.
She's stripped of her shoes and tied down to a table, where an evil dude in a bad robe explains the joys of torture, which is not a good situation to be in if you're the one tied down to the table.
Of course, Miss Brown is rescued by Crockett and Tubbs (sounds like a deluxe coffee maker), who take down the bad guys and rescue her from any more of the evil guy's lecture.
No word if Don Johnson sang "Heartbeat" for her--if he didn't, then maybe that's just as well. This was clipped by Raffish, and you can view/download this clip right here.
Jack Ketchum passed away a day ago. His real name was Dallas William Mayr, but under his Ketchum pseudonym he was a horror novelist who won the Bram Stoker Award four times. His novels included The Girl Next Door, Off Season, and The Woman. He also wrote the novella, Right To Life, the cover of which can be seen above.
Ketchum's fiction was relentless and unflinching. He dared to go to the dark areas of horror in his finely-crafted stories. He will be missed. RIP.
We also lost Ursula K. Le Guin, who was best known for her SF works. She probably gained her greatest fame when PBS produced a movie from her novel, The Lathe of Heaven, back in 1980 (when the movie originally aired, she wasn't able to see it because her area suffered a black out). Her writing sparkled with great imagination and wit. She, too, will be missed. RIP.

The upcoming Lara Croft movie, Tomb Raider, has a new trailer, and I was going to post it here. But then I recalled how much the trailer reminded me of this film, Croft. I figured if, given a choice, you'd probably want to watch an entire movie instead of a trailer.
Croft is a fan-made film about a woman adventurer who risks all to save the life of a captured young girl in the mountains. The stunt work is incredible, the acting is on par, and the film overall is very gripping and exciting. And this is just a fan film!
I'm still looking forward to the new Tomb Raider movie, but it's going to have to be pretty amazing to top this fan film.
