Giallo

Giallo is the Italian term for yellow, and it was used as a name for the garish crime fiction that was published with yellow covers in Italy.

There are also Giallo movies, which are crime thrillers/horror films, such as the films directed by Dario Argento.

In 2009, Argento directed a movie that was called Giallo, with Adrian Brody as an police inspector dealing with a serial killer in Rome.

The film itself was a mixed bag, and it's better known these days for the lawsuit that Adrian Brody filed against the production, claiming that he hadn't been paid.

But, there are plenty of scenes with the serial killer's victims, all bound and gagged and barefoot. One of them was played by an actress who was Brody's girlfriend at the time.
