Vega$

When I was a kid I watched about all the TV that I could see, and then some. One of the series that I feverishly watched was Vega$, the private eye show with Robert Urich.

One of my favorite episodes of this when I was a kid (and now) was the ninth episode of the first season, called Lost Women.

Cesar Romero, who played the Joker on the 1960s Batman TV series, plays a slave trader. He keeps lots of captured women in his swinging bachelor palace.

But it was this shot right here that made me drool when I was a little spud (and, yep, it still does). It's an all-too-brief shot of Romero's harem, all tied up and ready for shipment. All of the women are bound, clad in bikinis, and several of them are even barefoot.

But don't worry, everybody's fine. Hell, this is a '70s crime drama, they always end well for the good guys.
