In an issue of the Tomb Raider comic book, Lara Croft is captured by the bad guys, who look like they're being led by Miss 'kitten with a whip' here.
Lara is left tied to a rock, barefoot and stripped, to be left at the mercy of the elements.
But, of course, this is Lara Croft--and even when left for dead, she manages to rise to the occasion.
Classic scene in a way, seen it shared so many times of bondage pages....and lara basically looks iconic in that middle panel, bound & barely clothed yet somehow looking incredibly badass as well. I love that it's a type of "staked out" peril too, always such an intense & cruel scenario but so irresistible for scenarios such as this.
ReplyDeleteGoes without saying she frees herself of course, not needed to be rescued like a damsel....that silhouette of her flipping over, feet still together but ankle ropes coming lose, looks so good.
I also like the fact that her feet are still tied together as she flips over the rock like that.
DeleteIt's one of my favorite BF scenes in comics. I never read the Lara Croft comics--but when I saw this, I had to get this issue.
