Star Trek: Picard

Captain Jean-Luc Picard is back in a new Star Trek series. Named Picard, of course, it deals with the now-retired Starfleet officer being pulled into a mystery by a young woman who seeks his help.

That young woman is Dahj (Isa Briones), who is first seen with her boyfriend when their quality time gets interrupted by black-garbed goons who beam into her home.

That's when Dahj unexpectedly goes into full combat mode. She takes down all of these armed goons all by herself--and all while wearing a hood that they placed over her.

And she does the whole fight scene while barefoot, as well.

The first episode of Picard was very good overall. It raises enough of questions to make me want to see more of the series.

With Picard, it finally feels as if Star Trek is back, and I couldn't be more happier.

Criminal

This is Gail Godot (aka Wonder Woman) starring with Kevin Costner (aka Superman's dad) in the crime thriller Criminal. Godot gets tied up by Costner after she's awoken in bed. So she's bound barefoot, and there's even a nice moment where the still-tied Godot reaches for something with her foot.

I've already posted this scene once before, but this is an exceptionally clear copy--which I don't have--so I thought I would give you a heads up.

Seven Days

Yunjin Kim is best known for her role as Sun-Hwa Kwon on LOST, the TV show about survivors of a plane crash on a tropical island. It also dealt with much, much more wacky stuff.

In 2007, Kim also shot a movie in her native South Korea called Seven Days.

In this flick, Kim played a lawyer who crossed paths with the mob.

And because she's dealing with the mob, Kim gets all tied up--and barefoot, to boot (or not booted, whatever the case may be). It's a nice scene, and you can see this in this scene (which I did not clip) here.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

As expected, the latest Quentin Tarantino film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, has plenty of BF scenes, including Margot Robbie, who plays Sharon Tate.

And since it takes place in 1969, there are plenty of BF hippie girls running around--albeit most of them are with the Mansion family.

Thankfully the film's entire focus is not on these turds, but on an aging actor and his stuntman buddy who're trying to stay relevant in a changing Hollywood landscape.

Margot Robbie is very good as Sharon Tate, seen here watching herself in a Matt Helm movie.

She kicks off her boots and puts her bare feet up while enjoying the picture.

But there are so many BF scenes sprinkled throughout OUATIH.

So if you're into the BF aspect, then my advice would be to just get the film itself.

But, as with all of QT's films, there's more to them than just the BF aspect.

And OUATIH is a vastly entertaining movie that's highly recommended on its own merits.

Guess we were right

A spy goes undercover at a beach resort to find out if they're smuggling weapons. When they capture and tie her up, she realizes that her suspicions about them may well be true. Find out what happens in my latest Poser picture right here.

The Devil's Rejects

Kate Norby stars as Wendy, one of the victims of The Devil's Rejects. This was the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, directed by Rob Zombie.

At one point, Wendy is left gagged and tied with her wrists above her head to a post in a cheap motel room.

The Devil's Rejects, a trio of serial killers, are conversing in the room all around her.

The late, great Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Sheri Moon Zombie (Rob Rombie's wife) play the killers.

I'm not crazy about the blood and gore in this scene, but Wendy is tied up while barefoot. Even though you don't see her feet in these shots, she does go barefoot while clad only in the over-sized shirt.

I actually enjoyed The Devil's Rejects more than a House of 1000 Corpses, making this the rare case that a sequel is better than the original film.

2 Graves in the Desert

There's a new thriller coming out called 2 Graves in the Desert. Michael Madsen and William Baldwin star in it as two guys who kidnap a younger man and woman. The younger couple are kept in the back of pickup truck (with a cover over the cargo area). And they're being driven, presumably, to 2 graves in the desert.

The trailers show the younger couple both bound and gagged at one pont.

There's even some struggling on her part.

And the woman is bound barefoot. The trailer suggests that they're only bound briefly, but at least we get a BF bondage scene, so this will be something I'll watch out for. If they make a sequel, will it be called 3 Graves in the Desert? Just wondering.

Struggle in the Tub

In trying to find videos to fulfill requests, I keep getting sidetracked by coming across some good stuff in my files. A case in point is this Asian production, featuring a young barefoot woman in danger in a tub.

She wakes up to find herself tied up with the water facet left running. It was the rising water that flooded her mouth and nostrils that had given her a rude awakening.

She struggles to not only free herself, but also to turn off the still-flowing water with her bound bare feet, which offers some very nice shots.

The only draw back is that this video file is very small. I also don't know the same of the production, nor the name of the actress. But it's still a very nice scene, and if nothing else, the download is quick. You can see this right here.

Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover

I finally watched the latest CW Superhero Crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths. I say 'finally' because I had to wait a month between the first three episode and the final two, which I wasn't too crazy about. But, overall, I enjoyed this one a lot. Here are the highlights:

One of the best moments for me was seeing the meeting of the Flashes. Grant Gustin's TV Flash met Ezra Miller's Cinematic Flash, and it was completely unexpected--it caught me completely off guard--and I loved it. I'm hoping we'll still see a Flash movie with Miller in the lead.

I also loved the cameo from Marv Wolfman, who wrote the original Crisis comics series back in the 1980s. Marv also co-wrote one of the episodes of the Crisis crossover.

Another thing I really liked was how Crisis deepened the friendship between Batwoman and Supergirl. There was even a scene where Kate was hanging out in Kara's apartment! I hope we see more team ups with these two in the future. And Ruby/Kate looks great in the Bat costume sans the cowl, BTW.

And, speaking of Batwoman, I'm also happy to hear that it has been renewed for a second season! More Kate! More Batwoman! Yay!

Black Water

Diana Glenn and Maeve Dermody star in Black Water, an Australian film about friends who get attacked by a crocodile while vacationing in a flooded mangrove field.

When their boat gets overturned by the croc, these women (along with a guy) retreat to the branches of the trees.

They go barefoot pretty much throughout the film as they try to outsmart the crocs swimming in the water below them.

If you go looking for this--and the movie overall is well worth your time--be sure to search for Black Water; the title is two words.

This would make a great double feature with Crawl, since both movies involve crocodiles chasing barefoot women.

The latest Ryta book

I just started writing the new Ryta the Jungle Girl book. I just wrote the first scene. To celebrate the start of a new Ryta adventure, I thought I'd post some pictures of a bound, barefoot jungle girl: Shanna the She-Devil, created by writer Phillip Nicolas Seuling (under the name Carole Seuling) and penciler George Tuska.

My Ryta books have a barefoot jungle girl and her friends fighting for survival in a lost world filled with dinosaurs, ancient technology from Atlantis, and non-stop action and danger.

You can get the very first Ryta book right here.

And the very latest Ryta book, published just a few weeks ago, can be seen right here.

I'll keep you posted on the status of the latest book right here.

The Witcher...now with lightsabers!

I've mentioned several times now that I'm a big fan of Netflix's The Witcher. A sure sign that you've made it atop the pop culture heap is when they start taking scenes from your show and turn them into lightsaber battles.

To be honest, I thought the swordfighting in the scene was so great that it didn't need anything else, but I still enjoyed this clip all the same. Warning: the gory parts have been left in. This scene makes me wish we can see an R-rated lightsaber battle someday in Star Wars.

The Maid

I found this clip from a Singapore movie called The Maid. It's a supernatural horror film about a young woman who goes to work for a rich couple and gets abused by them.

In this scene, she gets tied to a bed. She's barefoot, and clad in a simple dress.

She also sees a ghost, literally, while tied up.

Strangely enough, I can't find this movie listed on the IMDB, nor on Brian's Page. But it does exists; I have it on DVD, and there's this clip (I didn't clip this). You can find this clip right here.
