When I was a boy, back in the 1970s, there was a TV show that aired on Saturday morning called Captain Marvel. It was about a boy, about the same age me at the time, who would turn into a superhero called Captain Marvel just by uttering the word "Shazam!"
Since then, the name Captain Marvel has gone to a female superhero over in the Marvel Comics group. I've never read these comics, and I don't really have any idea who this new Captain Marvel is or why her movie takes place in the 1990s.
But, having said all of that, I really like Brie Larson (she was good in Kong: Skull Island and Free Fire). And I thought it was funny when she crashed through the roof of a Blockbuster in the trailer. Was this the real reason they went out of business? If so, then thanks, Captain Marvel! :)
