Top Ten Movies of 2025

Superman -- One of the best Superman movies in recent years (although not as good as Man of Steel), with Superman interacting within a fully fleshed out DC Comics universe. And Nicholas Hoult is excellent here as Lex Luthor. Nothing BF or bondage to be seen.

Sinners -- A vampire film with musical numbers? Or a straight on vampire musical? Either way you slice it, Sinners was a pleasant surprise from Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. Nothing BF or bondage to be seen. (Warner Brothers)

Thunderbolts* -- Easily the best superhero film of 2025, with well-drawn out characters and a gripping storyline. No BF, but the entire team get their hands tied behind their backs in one scene. (Disney)

Companion -- A fantastic horror/SF film where the twists keep on coming. The movie is great enough as is, but it also has a superb BF bondage scene with lead Sophie Thatcher. (Warner Brothers)

K-Pop Demon Hunters -- I never thought I would go for this one (I'm not a very big K-Pop fan, myself), but *DAMN* this flick is really very funny, and brilliantly animated! No BF or bondage here. (Netflix)

Dangerous Animals -- A great horror movie about a serial killer who uses sharks to kill his victims. Plenty of BF scenes, as well as BF bondage scenes. (Shudder)

Fantastic Four: First Steps -- After several cinematic versions of this classic comic, Marvel got it right with this film, with the F4 battling a faithfully realized Galactus. No bondage, but Sue Storm and the Silver Surfer have several BF scenes (with the Silver Surfer going BF pretty much throughout the film). (Disney)

Warfare -- A grim--and extremely gripping--film that follows US Navy Seals on a combat operation in Iraq. It's a great film that's based on a real life account. No BF or bondage here. (A24)

Weapons -- Very scary horror film that has a group of children disappearing. Extremely intense and well done. The storyline pulls you in from the very beginning and never lets go. Nothing BF or bondage wise. (Warner Brothers)

Jurassic World: Rebirth -- The dinos are back, and ScarJo's got them. I really enjoyed this one. It's great having this series back, and I really hope they make more Jurassic films with Scarlett in the lead. No BF or bondage here. (Universal Pictures)

Best TV Shows of 2025

Wednesday Season 2 -- It's just great to have Jenna back. And Woe Thyself, the body switching episode, is my favorite of this season. No BF, but the very first episode has Wednesday tied to a chair and gagged. (Netflix)

The Pitt -- A far more realistic look at an ER, with each episode covering an hour per episode over the course of a shift. It works superbly. (HBOMAX)

Marvel Zombies -- A fun dark ride through an alternate Marvel universe that's been taken over by zombies. Watch all four half hour shows back to back and you've got yourself a two hour zombie movie with superheroes. (Disney+)

Andor -- This series was simply marvelous. The final episode takes us right up to the events of Rogue One. Andor is one of the greatest Star Wars projects since the original trilogy series. (Disney+)

The Bondsman -- A fun horror TV series with a bail bondsman being brought back from the dead to hunt demons. Depite good ratings, it's been canceled after only one season. But it was still enjoyable and is recommended. (Amazon)

American Primeval -- a superbly done one-shot series that shows the darker side of the American West in the 1800s. Betty Gilpin is fantastic in this. (Netflix)

The Eternaut -- Based on the original comic, this is a great series about an alien invasion in Buenos Aires. It deals with a group of people struggling to survive at first, and then later try to fight back. Superb. (Netflix)

Paradise -- What starts out as a gripping murder mystery expands into a vastly entertaining science fiction tale that remains enthralling from start to finish. (Hulu)

Only Murders In The Building -- While it's not a new show, it was new to me, since I binged-watched the first five seasons over the course of a couple of months. An enjoyable and cute murder mystery of the cozy kind. Some bondage with Selena Gomez here and there, but it's pretty slight. (Hulu)

The Diplomat -- Keri Russell returns as the US Ambassador to England in a wonderfully intense series that's also very funny at times. Some very nice BF scenes with Keri in season three. (Netflix)

Supergirl Trailer

The first trailer for the new Supergirl film is out, and it looks like it might be really good. Milly Alcock is great as Supergirl (we got a sneak peek at her at the end of Superman '25), and I'm looking forward to seeing her in her own adventure. Look out, indeed.

Millennium

There was once a TV series that aired in the late 1990s called Millennium. It was created and produced by Chris Carter, who also gave us the X-Files.

In the second season opener The Beginning & The End - Part 2, actress Megan Gallagher, who plays the wife of the show's hero, Frank Black, gets abducted by a psycho.

The psycho, known as the Polaroid Man, is played by Doug Hutchison, who also played the really creepy and memorable Eugene Victor Tooms on the X-Files.

You can see Megan's scene right here.

Amazonia

Amazonia (aka White Slave) was a B-movie from the mid-80s that was based on a true story. A woman had been cast off into the Amazon jungleby her enemies to die. But instead of dying, she adapted and became a jungle girl, sort of. The film was disappointing, as there wasn't as much bondage as I would have hoped, and what little bondage the film had wasn't very good.

But the covers for the VHS/DVD boxes were always more satisfying for me, especially this one, which has the barefoot heroine hanging from a pole suspended between two of her captors.

Here's a little more involved picture, under the White Slave name, with her captors carrying her off in a wooden cage. It was often said that some of these old video covers were far better than the movies they advertised. In the case of Amazonia, that's certainly true.

Various & Sundry

Been a while since I've last done this. Here's Selena Gomez, a sometime singer and a great actress (she's very good in Only Murders In The Building) performing sans shoes with her backup singers.

Don't know who this lovely lady is (and judging from the shades, it looks like she wants it that way. She's taking a nice barefoot stroll for herself.

Not sure who this lovely lady is, either. But in this very nice picture, does it really matter?

Abbie Chatfield makes a determined barefoot stride as she delivers some burgers.

Barefoot bike riding is something I've done countless times as a boy. But she looks much better doing it.

Gillian Anderson is out there while riding barefoot on horseback. The truth is right here.

The Baron

The Baron was a 1960s TV show about an American who's a member of British royalty who drives around England, getting in trouble.

In the opening scene of the episode The Maze, Judith Arthy stars as a young woman who's being held captive in her own home, which happens to be a pretty big mansion. Judith is struggling mightily against her bonds, having been tied to a chair in an attic storage room.

She's also gagged. Knocking over a glass of water that was on the table, Judith uses one of the broken shards to cut her wrists free.

What I love about this escape scene is that it takes a while for Judith to free herself, and it's not an easy task.

Would I have preferred her to be barefoot? Of course, but this is still one of my favorite scenes, just for her intense struggling--and Judith gets recaptured, and re-tied again, which is also on this clip. M Johns did a great job, and you can see it right here.

The New World

The New World was directed by Terrence Malick. It dealt with the first arrival of European settlers on the North American continent.

The film dealt with the clash of cultures between the settlers and the indigenous people.

Q'orianka Kilcher played Pocahontas, of the Powhatan people.

And she went barefoot a great deal in the film.

To say that Q'orianka Kilcher was perfectly cast as Pocahontas is putting it mildly. She's fantastic in the role.

The New World is recommended for more than just its BF scenes, though.

It's a very well-done movie that examines the culture shock that both sides receive from their first meeting--which is depicted just like a first contact situation from science fiction, which it really is: a first contact between the old and new worlds.

It's one of Terrence Malick's best films, IMHO.

Truth Or Die

Truth or Die is a horror movie version of the old game, Truth Or Dare.

Two young couples get captured by a psycho.

They all get tied to chairs, with the women going barefoot throughout their bondage.

They're not gagged. The only thing close to a gag here is this gizmo, which is shoved into the mouth of one of the women.

And then they play 'spin the bottle,' but this probably isn't a game you should be playing with a psycho.

Especially when there's bondage involved.

The damsels--played by Florence Hall and Jennie Jacques--are bound BF throughout the whole film.

As a horror movie, Truth Or Die is recommended.
