Teaching Miss Tingle

Helen Mirren is Miss Tingle, an usually strict teacher at a high school who gets taken hostage in her own home by some of her students.

The students tie Tingle to her bed, and gag her. Unfortunately, they don't tie her feet.

But at least she's barefoot, and I love her expressions with the gag.

While she's tied to the bed, Miss Tingle gets harassed by one of her students. And Tingle puts up a brave face the whole time.

She's never in any real danger; the little wacko is just singing and performing a song to her.

Teaching Miss Tingle was a pretty forgettable flick overall, with the exception of this scene.

Convo With Drac

The name of this clip is Conversas de un Serial Killer. It's from a Spanish language production. I thought the title was Conversation with a Serial Killer, but the literal Google translation is: Talk about a Serial Killer.

The attractive young woman who is tied down to a bed is not gagged, which allows her to speak to this vampire-looking dude who hovers over her.

I've tried looking this up, but couldn't find it in any of my usual sources.

The woman is barefoot throughout her captivity. And she plays a feisty heroine who stands up to her captor. Unfortunately, it doesn't end well for her.

It's a very chatty scene, with one of the people talking being tied up all the time (although he does let her go on a few occasions). You can see this clip right here.

Constantine (2005)

One of my favorite movies in recent years is the 2005 version of Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves.

I was re-watching this over the weekend, as part of my annual "gearing up for Halloween" movie marathon, when I realized--for the first time--that Constantine had a BF bondage scene!

It's the exorcism scene at the beginning of the movie. Constantine arrives to find a young possessed woman (Jhoanna Trias) tied to the bed.

Constantine takes care of that pesky demon in no time. I realize that Reeves wasn't considered to be a good choice for the lead role by Constantine purists (the character is British and blond), but I still love this movie, regardless (and even more so now).

But I had never read the Constantine comics until I was introduced to the character through this film. The DVD I bought of this has a mini comic book that features Constantine in one of his Vertigo adventures.

So while I understand the complaints about this version of Constantine, it's still near and dear to my heart--not for just being a good movie, but also because it introduced me to Constantine and his dark world.

Enola Holmes

Millie Bobby Brown stars as the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, in Enola Holmes, a film that dropped on Netflix a few days ago. Best known for her role as Eleven in Stranger Things, Brown is perfectly charming here as a teenage detective who's looking to solve the mystery of her mother's abrupt disappearance, only to get drawn into further adventure once she reaches London.

While there was nothing of interest for us in the damsel in distress department, I was still pleasantly surprised at how Enola Holmes didn't turn out to be a children's film, in that it wasn't at all childish, or too cute. It's a well-done mystery/adventure film that takes its story line seriously. Well-trained in combat and the art of science and detection by her unconventional mother, Enola hits the ground running (sometimes literally). But she also breaks the fourth wall by speaking to the viewer directly, which I found to be a really nice touch.

Henry Cavill (The Witcher, Man of Steel) stars here as Sherlock Holmes, and he's also very good. Enola Holmes, the film, has a very welcome Nancy Drew vibe, and hopefully we can get a DID scene in a sequel (the film is based on a series of books by author Nancy Springer).  Enola Holmes is highly recommended if you're looking for a twist on the Sherlock Holmes story--one with an engaging, feisty young heroine who will stop at nothing to solve a case. I really hope they make more Enola Holmes movies.

Snoop on a pole

My latest Poser picture has Tessa snooping around the mansion of her employer. She's been hired as a nanny to two wonderful children whom she wants to protect. And so when Tessa sees some weird stuff going on, she feels the need to investigate it. Big mistake. Find out what happens right here.

Lexx

Eva Habermann is about to be operated on in this second season episode of  Lexx: The Series (aka Tales from a Parallel Universe).

In the episode, titled "Terminal," Habermann's character, Zev, is pretty well strapped down to an examination table.

The fact that she's barefoot and scantily clad is very nice for me.

The evil scientist goes full Doctor Frankenstein on Zev, which is never a good thing.

But Zev seems to be taking it all in stride.

This scene offers some nice shots of her bound bare feet.

At least until Zev turns into a monster, but we can still enjoy the sights until then.

Abduction

I came across this picture in my files recently, and vaguely remembered the movie. Abduction was a fiction movie that was obviously inspired by the real life Patty Hearst kidnapping case that occurred back in the 1970s. To my knowledge this movie has never been released on video, with the exception of VHS videotape, the cover of which you see above. It was because of this cover that I sought out this film.

But, in the best tradition of B-Movies, it turns out that the movie poster didn't truly reflect what happened in the film itself. The publicity still of actress Judith-Marie Bergan (who's actually quite good in the movie) shows how she was actually tied, with her feet having been left free. Definitely a case where the poster was better than the film.

Funny Games

Naomi Watts stars in what's actually a remake of the movie Funny Games. She and her family are held hostage in their summer home by a pair of sadistic killers.

At one point in the film, she gets her ankles taped together (her wrists are already bound behind her) by one of the psychos. She's barefoot and clad in her underwear throughout her bondage.

Despite being taped hand and foot, she manages to hop over to her husband--who's untied but severely injured--in order for him to free her. But they're caught before she can be freed.

Funny Games--both versions--is very brutal to watch. This clip, which you can see here, depicts hostages and their captors as being very tense and solemn, lacking the usual pulpy, "damsel in distress" vibe. Naomi Watts is fantastic in the overall film, and it's worth watching just for her performance alone.

Color Out Of Space

Madeleine Arthur stars in Color Out Of Space, a film adaptation of an HP Lovecraft story.

At the very beginning of the film, her character, a witch, is performing a benign ritual when she's interrupted by a water surveyor.

She performs the ritual in her bare feet, which we see once she climbs on top of her horse. It's revealed that she has a tattoo on one of her feet.

She rides her horse back home, where her father (Nicolas Cage) chides her for not wearing her boots.

She goes barefoot in the barn while she gets her horse settled in, but this is the only BF scene in the movie. It's a very nice one, though.

Teri Hatcher is made comfortable

Long before she was Lois Lane (on Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman), Teri Hatcher starred on HBO's Tales From The Crypt.

In the second season episode, The Thing From The Grave, Teri is abducted by a bad dude who wants to make her his girlfriend..entirely against Teri's will, of course.

The baddie even kills Teri's boyfriend before bringing her up to this demented love shack in the woods.

He ties her down to a bed, scantily clad, by a roaring fireplace, no less.

In the best tradition of these stories, the undead boyfriend rises from his shallow grave to seek revenge on his killer.

Teri manages to work herself free during all of the excitement.

Some great shots of her bound feet here. I originally posted these pictures on my old web site. Thanks to MisterCam13 for reminding me of this scene.

Happy Batman Day!

Hey, it's Batman Day once again (every Sept 19). To celebrate, we've got some vidcaps from an episode of Batman: The Animated Series.

These are from the episode "Batgirl Returns," where Batgirl and Catwoman team up together--only to be captured and tied up by gangsters.

The bondage is presented very well here.

And the sense of peril is nicely brought out by the shadowy surroundings.

Of course, both Batgirl and Catwoman escape their bonds and their peril.

Batman The Animated Series is one of the best depictions of Batman and his world--even more so than any of the live action Batman films.

These very vidcaps were up on my old website. Happy Batman Day to you! Stay safe.
