Captain Planet (and Major Moon?)

Captain Planet was a goofy cartoon that aired back in the 1990s. It featured Captain Planet and his team of teenagers who fought for the environment. One of these spunky teens was Gi, who gets grabbed by the baddies while she's scuba-diving and tied to a chair.

But wait...Gi discovers something!

She uses the coral that the baddies have been illegally harvesting to untie herself! I'm not usually a big fan of animated bondage, but she's barefoot here. You can download this clip (which I clipped myself!) right here.

Ninja of my dreams

Back in 2009, there was a movie released called Ninja. It was a lot of fun, being an action/adventure flick about Ninjas battling it out on the streets of a city.

At one point in the film, Mika Hijii, who plays the girlfriend of the hero (and a superb ninja on her own), gets captured by the bad guy and is tied to a chair in his lair.

The bondage is extreme, which is a rare sight in a mainstream movie.

But it makes sense, since she's just as deadly an opponent as anybody else, so they would want (for their own sake) to make sure she stays put.

And she's tied barefoot, as well, which makes this one of my favorite scenes.

She was fully dressed when captured, so she was obviously partially stripped before being tied up. A very nice scene in a hugely entertaining movie.

Holmes on the Range

Aladdin is flying into theaters this weekend, having been directed by Guy Ritchie. Aladdin is an offbeat choice for Ritchie (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels) to helm. But I guess it'll be better than his take on King Arthur was.

But ten years ago, Guy Ritchie directed Sherlock Holmes, with Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler, who's tied with her wrists above her head in this death trap by the film's villain.

But have no fear; Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Watson (Jude Law) are on the case. They try to free Irene before the trap can clamp down on her.

They might want to hurry, though. The 2009 Sherlock Holmes is presently playing on Netflix, if you want to catch it.

Happy (real) Star Wars Day

I know it's hip to celebrate Star Wars on May the fourth, but for me the real day to celebrate Star Wars is the 25th of May, which was the original date that the first Star Wars premiered back in 1977.

To try and keep to the theme of this blog, I 'capped the scenes of Rey (Daisy Ridley) being brought before Grand Leader Snoke by Kylo Renn. From Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Rey is manacled for the whole scene.

Until she's not--that's when Snoke wants an up close look at her.

In a weird way, this is kind of like Kylo bringing his girlfriend home to meet dad.

But, in this case, Dad winds up being a homicidal maniac. Rey was right in wanting no part of this family. Happy True Star Wars Day.

Terminator: Dark Fate

Terminator: Dark Fate is supposed to be the direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Linda Hamilton returns as Sarah Connor. So does Arnold.

By picking up the story line directly from T2, the Terminator saga ignores:

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (I actually liked this movie; I thought Kristanna Loken was very good as a Terminator)

Terminator: Salvation (it was interesting because it had no time travel, but it was pretty 'meh' for me)

Terminator: Genisys (despite the presence of Emilia Clarke, I didn't care for this one at all)

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (a fantastic TV series that was cancelled too soon; Lena Headey was great as Sarah)

I've been a huge fan of the Terminator cinematic series since seeing the first movie in the theater 35 years ago (has it been THAT long already?). I still enjoy watching the lesser films, so I'm more than willing to give this new one a shot.

Ever defiant

A short but sweet scene featuring a barefoot damsel being held in what looks like a hotel room.

A guy comes in and grabs her gagged face.

But despite her situation, she's still defiant. My kind of damsel. You can get this clip right here.

Cat and the Canary

There have been about a hundred different versions of the story The Cat and the Canary. In this one, made in 1979, Carol Lynley decides to go snooping, while barefoot and armed with a gun.

But the gun's not much use to her, as she's grabbed in a hand gag from behind by a masked dude who drags her off into the bowels of the creepy old (if well-lit) mansion.

Lynley is secured to a chair in a nice scene where the camera pans up from her feet.

To her wrists.

To her face, which has a really small gag covering her mouth.

This film is a fun romp overall. Check it out.

The Return of the Bat

I really liked Ruby Rose when she played Batwoman in the CW Superhero show (Supergirl/Flash/Arrow) crossover last fall. So I'm glad to see the CW is forging ahead with a Batwoman series.

Batman/Bruce Wayne is gone from Gotham City in this series, and I'm wondering if they're borrowing this story beat from the Christopher Nolan Batman films. Not that I'm expecting Christian Bale to show up. In any event, I'm looking forward to seeing Batwoman.

And in other Batman news, I'm also intrigued to learn that Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to play The Dark Knight on the big screen (according to Variety). Twilight jokes aside, he's a good actor, and I'd be interested in seeing his take on Batman/Wayne (assuming he's cast).

Introducing Dorothy Danridge

Introducing Dorothy Danridge was a made-for-cable biopic about the late Hollywood actress, who was played in the movie by Halle Berry.

Of all the movies that Danridge did, the makers of her biopic chose Tarzan's Peril. And of all of the scenes from that film they could have recreated, they chose this one.

Danridge's jungle queen character gets captured by the bad guys and is tied up in a hut.

But no worries, because Tarzan arrives just in the nick of time to rescue her.

The biopic has a funny moment when the actor playing Tarzan starts having trouble untying Berry's ankles. This scene is fantastic--it's one of my faves--but Introducing Dorothy Danridge is very good overall. Brent Spiner, best known as Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, also co-stars as her agent.

Teacher oh my

This is from something called Teacher Oh Soon. And here, this young lady is having some trouble, as you can plainly see.

She's been abducted and tied up and gagged.

And on top of that, the bad guy comes in and lords it over her. As if she doesn't have enough to to deal with, you know?

But at least she doesn't give up easily; here she's trying to make her escape. Good for her. You can download this clip right here.

Bye Bye Big Bang

The Big Bang Theory is coming to an end. May 16 is the final brand new episode.

Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny, went barefoot a lot on the series.

I considered going through the series and 'capping' her BF shots myself. But then I realized that I had TWELVE YEARS of episodes to look through.

So here are some publicity stills instead. I hope you enjoy them, and let's bid a fond farewell to The Bog Bang Theory.

A demonstration

In this cop series, Fortier, (s3e4), a woman detective ties herself up in an attempt to show her colleagues how a murder victim was killed.

The fact that she's barefoot makes her demonstration even nicer.

It takes place in a very hot, summery place; everybody looks very sweaty.

Her colleagues ensure that she doesn't accidentally hurt herself. A very nice scene.

No work for Lyra today

Lyra is a dedicated medical technician in the Twenty Fifth century who's getting ready for her next shift when she's interrupted by her twin sister, Nyra--who's dressed like Lyra is and is currently pointing a gun at Lyra.

House With A Clock in its Walls

If you like mild horror films, then give The House With A Clock In Its Walls a shot. I did, and enjoyed it very much. Jack Black and Cate Blanchett are very good as a warlock and a witch, respectively. While there's nothing of interest here "for those of us", the movie is very stylish, and a lot of fun. House With A Clock In Its Walls would make a perfect flick to watch on or around Halloween.

I'd also like to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there.

A Nightmare on Elm St (2010)

They remade A Nightmare on Elm Street back in 2010.

It was not a good idea, because the remake wound up being not very good.

The original was released back in 1984 and was directed by legendary horror film master Wes Craven.

However, the remake, in recreating scenes of beautiful women being stalked by Freddy Kruger in their nightmares, had its fair share of BF scenes.

And one of these barefoot women was Rooney Mara, who would go on to play The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo the following year--this was a much better remake than Nightmare.

At least in the Nightmare remake Rooney goes barefoot both in and out of her dreams.

The Nightmare remake offers some very nice BF shots.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing another Nightmare remake within the next few years. Hope it's better than the first remake was.
